Luke 1:2

2just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.

2just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,

2exactly as they were handed down to us by those [with personal experience] who from the beginning [of Christ’s ministry] were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word [that is, of the teaching concerning salvation through faith in Christ],

2just as they were handed down to us by the initial eyewitnesses and servants of the word.

2even as they delivered them unto us, who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word,

2As they haue deliuered them vnto vs, which from the beginning saw them their selues, and were ministers of ye word,

2even as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word delivered them to us,

2Reports of these things were handed down to us. There were people who saw these things for themselves from the beginning. They saw them and then passed the word on.

2Some people were present when these things started to happen. They saw everything that happened and they told us about it. They are the people who wrote down the good news for us.

2as they delivered to us, who from the beginning became eyewitnesses, and officers of the word,
