Luke 13:7

7And he said to the vineyard-keeper, ‘Look! For three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree 13:7 Lit and I do not findwithout finding any. Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground?’

7so he said to the vineyard-keeper, ‘For three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree and have found none. Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground [depleting the soil and blocking the sunlight]?’

7So he said to the keeper of the vineyard, ‘Look, for the past three years I have come to search for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Therefore cut it down!13:7 SBL, NE, WH Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

7So he went to the man who took care of the vineyard. He said, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree. But I haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
