1When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body.

1After the day of rest had finished, the women bought some spices. They wanted to mix these with some oil to put on Jesus' body. These women were Mary from Magdala, Salome, and Mary the mother of James.
