Mark 8:15

15“Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.”

This analogy relates the impurity of a leavening agent to the impurity of the man-made tradition and hypocrisy of the Pharisees that was preventing the nation of Israel from accepting the Messiah.leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”
