Matthew 23:5

5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long;

5And they do all their deeds to be noticed by other people; for they broaden their phylacteries and lengthen the tassels of their garments.

5They do all their deeds to be seen by men; for they make their phylacteries (tefillin) wide [to make them more conspicuous] and make their tassels long. [Ex 13:9; Num 15:38; Deut 6:8]

5All their deeds are done for men to see. They broaden their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels.

5But all their works they do to be seen of men: for they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

5All their workes they doe for to be seene of men: for they make their phylacteries broad, and make long the frindges of their garments,

5“Everything they do is done for others to see. On their foreheads and arms they wear little boxes that hold Scripture verses. They make the boxes very wide. And they make the tassels on their coats very long.

5The Pharisees do things only so that people will see them. They wear little boxes with words from the Bible in them, but they make them really big. They also make the tassels on their clothes very long.

5And all their works they do to be seen by men, and they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the fringes of their garments,
