Matthew 27:6

6The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.”

6The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “It is not lawful to put them in the temple treasury, since it is money paid for blood.”

6The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the temple treasury, since it is the price of blood.”

6The chief priests, picking up the pieces of silver, said, “It is not lawful to put these in the treasury [of the temple], because it is the price of blood.”

6The chief priests picked up the pieces of silver and said, “It is unlawful to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.”

6The chief priests picked up the coins. They said, “It’s against the law to put this money into the temple fund. It is blood money. It has paid for a man’s death.”
