Matthew 6:7

7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.

7When you pray, do not keep talking on and on. That is what ungodly people do. They think they will be heard because they talk a lot.

7When you pray, do not say the same words many times. People who do not believe in God do that. They use many words that mean nothing. They think that when they pray like that, their gods will hear them.

7And—praying—you may not use vain repetitions like the nations, for they think that in their speaking much they will be heard,
