14“It’s no good, it’s no good!” says the buyer—

then goes off and boasts about the purchase.

14“Bad, bad,” says the buyer,

But when he goes his way, then he boasts.

14“It is [almost] worthless, it is [almost] worthless,” says the buyer [as he negotiates the price];

But when he goes his way, then he boasts [about his bargain].

14“Worthless, worthless!” says the buyer,

but on the way out, he gloats.

14It is bad, it is bad, saith the buyer;

But when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.

14It is naught, it is naught, sayth the buyer: but when he is gone apart, he boasteth.

14“It’s no good, it’s no good,” says the buyer;

but when he is gone his way, then he boasts.

14“It’s no good. It’s no good!” says a buyer.

Then off they go and brag about what they bought.

14When somebody is buying something,

he says, ‘It is worth nothing!’

But later he boasts about the cheap price!
