6Wounds from a friend can be trusted,

but an enemy multiplies kisses.

6Faithful are the wounds of a friend,

But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.

6Faithful are the wounds of a friend [who corrects out of love and concern],

But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful [because they serve his hidden agenda].
