28They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor

and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;

28¶They also followed Baal-peor,

And ate sacrifices offered to the dead.

28¶They joined themselves also to [the idol] Baal of Peor,

And ate sacrifices offered to the dead.
