18But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,

on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

18¶Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,

On those who wait for His faithfulness,

18Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,

On those who hope for His lovingkindness,

18¶Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him [and worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and obedience],

On those who hope [confidently] in His compassion and lovingkindness,

18Surely the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him,

on those whose hope is in His loving devotion

18But the Lord looks with favor on those who respect him.

He watches over those who put their hope in his faithful love.
