Romans 6:6

6For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

6We know that our old self [our human nature without the Holy Spirit] was nailed to the cross with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.

6knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;

6We know that what we used to be was nailed to the cross with him. That happened so our bodies that were ruled by sin would lose their power. So we are no longer slaves of sin.

6We know that God has caused our old nature to die with Christ on the cross. This happened so that God could make us free from the power of sin in our lives. We are no longer like slaves who have sin as their master.

6knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [Him], that the body of sin may be made useless, for our no longer serving sin,
