Romans 7:18

18For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.7:18 Or my flesh For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

18For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.

18For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not.

18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

18I know there is nothing good in my desires controlled by sin. I want to do what is good, but I can’t.
