Romans 9:18

18So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires.

18So then, He has mercy on whom He wills (chooses), and He hardens [the heart of] whom He wills.

18Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden.

18So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will he hardeneth.

18Therefore he hath mercie on whome he will, and whom he will, he hardeneth.

18So then, he has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.

18So we see this: God is kind to some people and he forgives them. But he causes some people, like Pharaoh, to turn against him. He chooses what he will do with each person.

18so then, to whom He wills, He does kindness, and to whom He wills, He hardens.
