33As it is written:

“See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble

and a rock that makes them fall,

and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.”9:33 Isaiah 8:14; 28:16

33just as it is written:

“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense,

And the one who believes in Him will not be 9:33 Or disappointedput to shame.”

33As it is written and forever remains written,
