1 John 2:10

10Anyone who loves their brother and sister2:10 The Greek word for brother and sister (adelphos) refers here to a believer, whether man or woman, as part of God’s family; also in 3:10; 4:20, 21. lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.

10The one who loves his brother and sister remains in the Light, and there is nothing in him to cause stumbling.

10The one who 2:10 The key to understanding this and other statements about love is to know that this love (the Greek word agape) is not so much a matter of emotion as it is of doing things for the benefit of another person, that is, having an unselfish concern for another and a willingness to seek the best for another.loves and unselfishly seeks the best for his [believing] brother lives in the Light, and in him there is no occasion for stumbling or offense [he does not hurt the cause of Christ or lead others to sin].

10Whoever loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no cause of stumbling in him.

10Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light. There is nothing in them to make them fall into sin.
