1 Peter 2:15

15For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.

15For such is the will of God, that by doing right you silence the ignorance of foolish people.

15For it is the will of God that by doing right you may silence (muzzle, gag) the [culpable] ignorance and irresponsible criticisms of foolish people.

15For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorance of foolish men.

15For so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

15By doing good you will put a stop to the talk of foolish people. They don’t know what they are saying.

15God wants you to do only what is good. Then silly people will not be able to say bad things against you. Those people do not really know what is true.

15because, so is the will of God, doing good, to put to silence the ignorance of the foolish men—
