1 Thessalonians 4:12

12so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

12so that you will behave properly toward outsiders and not be in any need.

12so that you will behave properly toward outsiders [exhibiting good character, personal integrity, and moral courage worthy of the respect of the outside world], and be dependent on no one and in need of nothing [be self-supporting].

12Then you will behave properly toward outsiders, without being dependent on anyone.

12that ye may walk becomingly toward them that are without, and may have need of nothing.

12That yee may behaue your selues honestly towarde them that are without, and that nothing be lacking vnto you.

12that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

12Then unbelievers will have respect for your everyday life. And you won’t have to depend on anyone.

12If you live in this way, other people who are not believers will respect you. Also, you will not have to ask anyone else to give you the things that you need.

12that you may walk properly to those outside, and may have lack of nothing.
