2 Chronicles 20:3

3Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah.

3Then Jehoshaphat was afraid and set himself [determinedly, as his vital need] to seek the Lord; and he proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

3Jehoshaphat was alarmed. So he decided to ask the Lord for advice. He told all the people of Judah to go without eating.
