2 Samuel 12:16

16David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth on the ground.

16David therefore begged God for the child; and David fasted, and went in and lay all night on the ground.

16David begged God to heal the child. David didn’t eat anything. He spent his nights lying on the ground. He put on the rough clothes people wear when they’re sad.

16David asked the Lord to make his child well again. He lay on the floor of his house all night and he ate no food.

16and David seeks God for the youth, and David keeps a fast, and has gone in and lodged, and lain on the earth.
