2 Samuel 19:2

2And for the whole army the victory that day was turned into mourning, because on that day the troops heard it said, “The king is grieving for his son.”

2So the victory on that day was turned into mourning for all the people, for the people heard it said on that day, “The king grieves for his son.”

2And that day’s victory was turned into mourning for all the people, because on that day they were told, “The king is grieving over his son.”

2And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people; for the people heard say that day, The king grieveth for his son.

2Therefore the victorie of that day was turned into mourning to all the people: for the people heard say that day, The King soroweth for his sonne.

2The army had won a great battle that day. But their joy turned into sadness. That’s because someone had told the troops, “The king is filled with sorrow because his son is dead.”

2All the people heard the news that the king was very sad about his son's death. King David's army had won the battle, so everyone should have been very happy. But instead, they were all sad.

2and the salvation on that day becomes mourning to all the people, for the people have heard on that day, saying, “The king has been grieved for his son.”
