2 Samuel 19:26

26He said, “My lord the king, since I your servant am lame, I said, ‘I will have my donkey saddled and will ride on it, so I can go with the king.’ But Ziba my servant betrayed me.

26So he said, “My lord the king, my servant betrayed me; for your servant said, ‘I will 19:26 I.e., have the donkey saddledsaddle the donkey for myself so that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ since your servant cannot walk.

26So he answered, “O my lord, the king, my servant deceived me; for your servant said, ‘I will saddle a donkey for myself that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame.

26He said, “My lord the king, my servant [Ziba] betrayed me; for I said, ‘Saddle a donkey for me so that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ for your servant is lame [but he took the donkeys and left without me]. [2 Sam 16:1-4]

26“My lord the king,” he replied, “because I am lame, I said, ‘I will have my donkey saddled19:26 LXX, Syriac, and Vulgate Saddle a donkey for me; Hebrew I will saddle a donkey for myself so that I may ride on it and go with the king.’ But my servant Ziba deceived me,

26He said, “You are my king and master. I’m not able to walk. So I thought, ‘I’ll have a saddle put on my donkey. I’ll ride on it. Then I can go with the king.’ But my servant Ziba turned against me.
