Acts 4:17

17But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.”

17We have to stop this thing. It must not spread any further among the people. We have to warn these men. They must never speak to anyone in Jesus’ name again.”

17But we do not want any more people to know what has happened. So we must say to these men, “You must stop using the name of Jesus. You must stop teaching people about him.” ’

17but that it may spread no further toward the people, let us strictly threaten them to no longer speak in this Name to any man.”
