1Meanwhile, Saul continued to oppose the Lord’s followers. He said they would be put to death. He went to the high priest.

1All this time, Saul was still speaking strongly against the disciples of the Lord Jesus. He wanted to kill all the believers. So he went to see the most important priest in Jerusalem.

1And Saul, yet breathing of threatening and slaughter to the disciples of the Lord, having gone to the chief priest,
