Ephesians 1:12

12in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.

12to the end that we who were the first to hope in the Christ would be to the praise of His glory.

12so that we who were the first to hope in Christ [who first put our confidence in Him as our Lord and Savior] would exist to the praise of His glory.

12to the end that we should be unto the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ:

12That we, which first trusted in Christ, should be vnto the praise of his glorie:

12to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ.

12We were the first to put our hope in Christ. We were chosen to bring praise to his glory.

12We were the first people to trust in Christ, God's Messiah. God wanted us to show how great he is. He wanted people to praise him because of us.

12for our being to the praise of His glory, [even] those who first hoped in the Christ,
