Exodus 17:6

6I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.

6Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

6Behold, I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb.17:6 Horeb is another name for Sinai. And when you strike the rock, water will come out of it for the people to drink.”

So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.

6I will stand there in front of you by the rock at Mount Horeb. Hit the rock. Then water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses hit the rock while the elders of Israel watched.
