Ezekiel 31:10

10“ ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because the great cedar towered over the thick foliage, and because it was proud of its height,

10‘Therefore this is what the Lord 31:10 Heb YHWH, usually rendered Lord, and so throughout the chGod says: “Because 31:10 As in Syriac; MT you areit is tall in stature and has put its top among the 31:10 As in LXX; MT thick branchesclouds, and its heart is haughty in its loftiness,

10‘Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Because it is high in stature and has set its top among the clouds, and its heart is haughty in its loftiness,

10‘Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Because it is high in stature and has set its top among the thick boughs and the clouds, and its heart is proud of its height, [2 Kin 18:31-35]

10Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Since it became great31:10 Hebrew you became great in height and set its top among the clouds,31:10 Or through the thick boughs and it grew proud on account of its height,

10So the Lord and King says, “The great cedar tree grew very high. Its top was above all the leaves. It was proud of how tall it was.
