Hebrews 9:22

22In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

22God's Law taught that blood was necessary to make almost everything clean. We see that God does not forgive people for their sins unless there is blood from a death.

22and with blood almost all things are purified according to the Law, and forgiveness does not come apart from blood-shedding.
