1Woe to the land of whirring wings

along the rivers of Cush,

1Woe, land of whirring wings

Which lies beyond the rivers of Cush,

1Woe (judgment is coming) to the land of whirring wings

Which is beyond the rivers of Cush (Ethiopia),

1Woe to the land of whirring wings,

along the rivers of Cush,

1Ah, the land of the rustling of wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia;

1Oh, the lande shadowing with winges, which is beyond the riuers of Ethiopia,

1Ah, the land of the rustling of wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia;

1How terrible it will be for the land

whose armies are like large numbers of flying insects!

That land is along the rivers of Cush.

1It will be very bad for that land beyond the rivers of Cush. Their ships seem to have wings and fly everywhere!
