9The Lord Almighty has declared in my hearing:

“Surely the great houses will become desolate,

the fine mansions left without occupants.

9In my ears the Lord of armies has sworn, “Many houses shall certainly become desolate,

Even great and fine ones, without occupants.

9In my ears the Lord of hosts said, “Be assured that many houses will become desolate,

Even great and beautiful ones will be unoccupied.

9I heard the Lord of Hosts declare:

“Surely many houses will become desolate,

great mansions left unoccupied.

9In mine ears saith Jehovah of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.

9This is in mine cares, saith the Lord of hostes. Surely many houses shall be desolate, euen great, and faire without inhabitant.

9In my ears, Yahweh of Armies says: “Surely many houses will be desolate,

even great and beautiful, unoccupied.

9I heard the Lord who rules over all announce a message. He said,

“You can be sure that the great houses will become empty.

The fine homes will be left with no one living in them.

9I have heard the Lord Almighty promise this: ‘All these great, beautiful houses will certainly become empty. There will be nobody to live in them.

9Do many houses not become a desolation by the weapons of YHWH of Hosts? Great and good without inhabitant!
