James 4:6

6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

6But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

6But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].” [Prov 3:34]

6But He gives us more grace. This is why it says:

6But he giveth more grace. Wherefore the scripture saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.

6But the Scripture offereth more grace, and therefore sayth, God resisteth the proude, and giueth grace to the humble.

6But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

6But God continues to give us more grace. That’s why Scripture says,

6But God will be very kind to us and he will help us. That is why the Bible says, ‘God is against those people who are proud. But he is kind to humble people.’

6but [God] gives greater grace, for this reason it says, “God sets Himself up against proud ones, and He gives grace to lowly ones.”
