John 12:34

34The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain forever, so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”

34The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard from the Law that the 12:34 I.e., MessiahChrist is to remain forever; and how is it that You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

34The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

34At this the crowd answered Him, “12:34 At this time the crowd does not understand that Jesus is speaking about His approaching crucifixion and resurrection.We have heard from the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; how then can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” [Ps 110:4]

34The crowd replied, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever. So how can You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

34The crowd spoke up. “The Law tells us that the Messiah will remain forever,” they said. “So how can you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”
