Jonah 1:10

10This terrified them and they asked, “What have you done?” (They knew he was running away from the Lord, because he had already told them so.)

10Then the men became extremely frightened and said to him, “How could you do this?” For the men knew that he was running from the presence of the Lord, 1:10 Jonah probably had informed them when he first boarded (cf v 3) but they may not have taken him seriously, or perhaps they were just indifferent to his reason for the voyage. Now that they were in mortal danger, they believed him.because he had told them.

10Then the men were even more afraid and said to him, “What have you done?” The men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.

10They found out he was running away from the Lord. That’s because he had told them. Then they became terrified. So they asked him, “How could you do a thing like that?”
