Luke 1:21

21Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zechariah and wondering why he stayed so long in the temple.

21And meanwhile the people were waiting for Zechariah, and were wondering at his delay in the temple.

21The people [outside in the court] were waiting for Zacharias, and were wondering about his long delay in the temple.

21And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and they marvelled while he tarried in the temple.

21Now the people waited for Zacharias, and marueiled that he taried so long in the Temple.

21The people were waiting for Zacharias, and they marveled that he delayed in the temple.

21During that time, the people were waiting for Zechariah to come out of the temple. They wondered why he stayed there so long.

21While this was happening, the people outside were waiting for Zechariah. They were thinking, ‘Why has Zechariah stayed for such a long time in the holy place? Why has he not come out yet?’

21And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and wondering at his lingering in the temple,
