18And yet they all alike began to make excuses. The first one said to him, ‘I purchased a field and I need to go out to look at it; please consider me excused.’

18But then each person gave a reason why he could not come to the meal. The first man said, “I have just bought a field, so I must go out and see it. Please say that I am sorry. Tell your master that I cannot come to his meal.”
18And all began with one [voice] to excuse themselves. The first said to him, I bought a field, and I have need to go forth and see it; I beg of you, have me excused.
