Matthew 15:6

6they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

6he is not to honor his father or mother.’ And by this you have invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

6he is not to honor his father or his mother [by helping them with their need].’ So by this you have invalidated the word of God [depriving it of force and authority and making it of no effect] for the sake of your tradition [handed down by the elders].

6he need not honor his father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

6he shall not honor his father. And ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition.

6Though hee honour not his father, or his mother, shalbe free: thus haue ye made the commandement of God of no aucthoritie by your tradition.

6So they do not need to honor their father or mother with their gift. You make the word of God useless in order to follow your own teachings.

6Then, you let that person give nothing to his parents. He does not have to help them. This shows that you have not obeyed what God says is right. Instead, you have obeyed your own ideas.

6and he may not honor his father or his mother, and you set aside the command of God because of your tradition.
