8“In that day,” declares the Lord,

“will I not destroy the wise men of Edom,

those of understanding in the mountains of Esau?

8“Will I not on that day,” declares the Lord,

“Eliminate wise men from Edom,

And understanding from the mountain of Esau?

8“Will I not on that day,” says the Lord,

“Destroy the wise men from Edom [removing all wisdom]

And understanding from the mountain of Esau?

8In that day, declares the Lord,

will I not destroy the wise men of Edom

and the men of understanding

in the mountains of Esau?

8Shall I not in that day, saith Jehovah, destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?

8Shall not I in that day, saith the Lord, euen destroy the wise men out of Edom, and vnderstanding from the mount of Esau?

8“Won’t I in that day”, says Yahweh, “destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mountain of Esau?

8Here is what the Lord announces. “At that time

I will destroy the wise men of Edom.

I will wipe out the men of understanding

in the mountains of Esau.

8The Lord says,

‘At that time, I will destroy the wise men of Edom.

Yes, I will remove the clever men from Esau's mountain!

8Is it not in that day,” a declaration of YHWH, || “That I have destroyed the wise out of Edom, || And understanding out of the mountain of Esau?
