Zechariah 5:6

6I asked, “What is it?”

He replied, “It is a basket.” And he added, “This is the iniquity5:6 Or appearance of the people throughout the land.”

6And I said, “What is it?” Then he said, “This is the 5:6 I.e., a measuring basket, about 1 cubic foot or 0.03 cubic meters, and so throughout the chephah going forth.” Again he said, “This is their 5:6 Lit eye; some ancient versions wrongdoingappearance in all the 5:6 Or earthland.

6I said, “What is it?” And he said, “This is the ephah going forth.” Again he said, “This is their appearance in all the land

6And I said, “What is it?” And he said, “This is the 5:6 The ephah (a bushel basket for collecting grain) that was used by farmers was approximately 1.05 bushels, but it would be much larger in this vision.ephah (grain basket) going forth. This,” he continued, “is their appearance throughout the land [Amos 8:5]

6“What is it?” I asked.

And he replied, “A measuring basket5:6 Or An ephah is going forth.” Then he continued, “This is their iniquity5:6 One Hebrew manuscript, LXX, and Syriac; most Hebrew manuscripts their appearance or (literally) their eye in all the land.”

6“What is it?” I asked.

“A basket,” he replied. “The sins of the people all through the land are in it.”
