1 Samuel 2:17

17This sin of the young men was very great in the Lord’s sight, for they were treating the Lord’s offering with contempt.

17And so the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for the men treated the offering of the Lord disrespectfully.

17So the sin of the [two] young men [Hophni and Phinehas] was very great before the Lord, for the men treated the offering of the Lord disrespectfully.

17Thus the sin of these young men was severe in the sight of the Lord, for they were treating the Lord’s offering with contempt.

17And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah; for the men despised the offering of Jehovah.

17Therefore the sinne of the yong men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.

17The sin of the young men was very great before Yahweh; for the men despised Yahweh’s offering.

17That sin of Eli’s sons was very great in the Lord’s sight. That’s because they were not treating his offering with respect.

17The Lord knew what Eli's sons were doing. They did not respect the sacrifices that people were offering to the Lord. The Lord saw that their sin was very bad.

17And the sin of the young men is very great [in] the presence of YHWH, for the men have despised the offering of YHWH.
