1Woe to those who make unjust laws,

to those who issue oppressive decrees,

1Woe to those who enact unjust statutes

And to those who constantly record harmful decisions,

1Woe (judgment is coming) to those [judges] who issue evil statutes,

And to those [magistrates] who constantly record unjust and oppressive decisions,

1Woe to those who enact unjust statutes

and issue oppressive decrees,

1Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers that write perverseness;

1Woe vnto them that decree wicked decrees, and write grieuous things,

1Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees

1How terrible it will be for you

who make laws that aren’t fair!

How terrible for you

who write laws that make life hard for others!

1It will be very bad for people who make cruel laws that are not fair.
