Matthew 26:5

5“But not during the festival,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”

5But they were saying, “Not during the festival, otherwise a riot might occur among the people.”

5But they said, “It must not be during the festival (Passover), otherwise there might be a riot among the people.”

5“But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”

5But they said, Not during the feast, lest a tumult arise among the people.

5But they sayd, Not on the feast day, least any vprore be among the people.

5But they said, “Not during the feast, lest a riot occur among the people.”

5“But not during the feast,” they said. “The people may stir up trouble.”

5They said to each other, ‘We do not want to take hold of him during the Passover festival. If we do that, the people will be angry and they may fight against us.’

5and they said, “Not in the celebration, that there may not be a tumult among the people.”
