Romans 11:7

7What then? What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened,

7What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened;

7What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking [that is, God’s favor by obedience to the Law], but the elect [those chosen few] obtained it, while the rest of them became hardened and callously indifferent;

7What then? What Israel was seeking, it failed to obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened,

7What then? That which Israel seeketh for, that he obtained not; but the election obtained it, and the rest were hardened:

7What then? Israel hath not obtained that he sought: but the election hath obteined it, and the rest haue bene hardened,

7What then? That which Israel seeks for, that he didn’t obtain, but the chosen ones obtained it, and the rest were hardened.

7What should we say then? The people of Israel did not receive what they wanted so badly. Those Israelites who were chosen did receive it. But the rest of the people were made stubborn.

7So we can say this: Israel's people did not all find what they were looking for. Only those people that God had chosen received it. But the other people of Israel were unable to understand God's message.

7What then? What Israel seeks after, this it did not obtain, and the chosen obtained, and the rest were hardened,
